shutout...

late sunday afternoon.
tienmu baseball stadium.
setting sun and cool breezes.
cobras against bears.
first base stand with ex-colleagues.
amusing cheerleaders gone hyper.
fervid crowd.
getting on big screen.
mexican waves.
amazing defensive plays.
timely hits (none from chin-feng chen).
excellent pitching.
four-nil shutout.
w for cobras.

beauty!

You know what they say about baseball? It is a game that one likes when one is a kid, finds boring during the teenage years and 20's and falls back in love after 30.

Did you watch any of the NBA Conference Finals? Especially the West. The defence is as porous as air itself. Score at will

yeah, it's all run and gun in the west eh! good thing that dallas won game two today. it's been one of the best postseasons so far. would've loved to see cleveland and la upset detroit and phoenix though.

it's a real pity that espn star doesn't have any super 14 this year. did you manage to catch the final on telly there?

You didnt miss out much as you wouldnt have been able to see much action on TV anyway - the whole game was played in thick fog and a lot of audience had to leave the stadium as they couldnt see anything!

crap. to make matters worse, i don't think we'll get any of the all blacks test matches on telly here this year. it would be a nightmare if the rugby world cup next year is also overlooked...

well, at least there is live coverage on telly of every match of the soccer world cup that's going on. australia's fairy-tale comeback against japan was astonishing huh!
